This was something that goes beyond me and you,
Our duty to ourselves, our families, our crew:
Being chosen by the Holy and the Greatest one.
Hope that you understand and forgive me, my son.
Instilling much of myself in you until age twelve,
And then this journey to come up from a living hell.
Not my will but Allah’s will must truly be done.
Can’t you see? If so, forgive me, my son.
Tears in my eyes, every day your vision in my mind,
Never worrying because this sight can’t go blind.
Remember all of the great times and all of that fun?
If it doesn’t return soon, please forgive me, my son.
You know if it was my choice, you’d have come along,
But it wasn’t, so just be patient and be real strong.
We can do this and put it behind us, once and for all done,
With Islam, I ask Allah for you to forgive me, my son.
